David Eugene Grayson, 67, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 29, 1951 in Savannah to the late William Curtis Grayson and Dorothy Lee Blitch Grayson. He retired from the City of Savannah and was an avid fisherman. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Billy Grayson, James Grayson, Thomas Grayson, Ann Covington, and Doris Smith, and also his step-son, Marvin Mitchell, Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Penny Mitchell Grayson of Rincon, GA, daughter, Heather Grasyson, son, David Grayson, Jr. (Lori), stepson, Craig Mitchell and Pratt Mitchell, stepdaughter, Regina Benson (Mike), one brother, John Grayson (Merrill), sisters, Dorothy Williams, and Harriett Lovell, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
I might not of been there in the flesh but my Heart goes out to you all.I will never forget the person he was to me.The Old Man, HaHa and the Old Hag will meet again one day.I know the suffering and pain is gone now.He put up a huge fight and for the ones that he Loved.

Heather I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I always remember going to his house and him and penny would cook dinner for us. We has some good times with him. Love ya and your family is in my prayers
